About Me, Why I love Pinterest, & Why You Should too!
Hi, I’m Stephanie!
I'm a 3D artist, gamer, and content creator. I created my very first digital product in 2006, way before before the term "digital product" was even a thing people said!
I started with selling 3D hairstyles, fashion accessories, and resources for other creators for avatar chat platforms IMVU and SecondLife before getting into professional blogging and creating courses for aspiring bloggers who struggled with technology.
My Experience with Pinterest Once I dove into the world of modern blogging, I learned about Pinterest and became absolutely obsessed! I love Pinterest because it's one of the best ways to build traffic to your blog, website, or products in both the short term (3 months) AND long term (5+ years for some of my stuff).
Pinterest bloggers have stayed resilient through the ever rocky Google SEO landscape. In fact, many have adopted Pinterest marketing as their main traffic strategy after being devastated by Google search updates over and over again.
I've spent hours and hours researching strategies, reading the Pinterest engineering blog (what I can understand of it, at least), and testing strategies with various types of content to build resources to help bloggers and small business owners thrive on Pinterest.
I’ve taught beginner strategy to over 1,000 students and briefly ran a small intermediate course previously in 2018 where I was able to help a small cohort of students increase their Pinterest performance as well as digital product sales (and one guy who sold t-shirts, pretty cool!).
Life, of course, did its thing and I ended up stepping away for awhile. But now I’m making my return with Soft Digital Era, starting off strong with my favorite marketing topic: Pinterest.
Why Pinterest is GREAT for Content Creators and Marketers I love Pinterest because you don’t need to be an influencer or have an established audience to do well on Pinterest. All you need is a few valuable links, a strategic plan with a clear goal, and a profile that’s built with purpose.
This is a stark contrast to other platforms that require daily, manual posting and only really reward you when you focus on social engagement. If you’re anything like me, trying to use platforms like Instagram are an absolute nightmare because of this.
That’s why I’m excited to share my Pinterest knowledge. If you’ve been wondering whether Pinterest could work for your business—or you’re looking for a simpler, less social way to market your offers—this guide will give you an easy, confidence-building strategy to start with.
I've been using Pinterest since 2016 and I've definitely experienced a whirlwind of challenges from a constantly changing platform. However, one thing that never changes is the need for a solid foundation. So that’s what I’ll be focusing on along with providing the most up-to-date best practices for using Pinterest as content creator.
